Did You Know?

Did you know that you can qualify as a non-smoker on existing policies once you’ve gone 12 months without any form of tobacco or nicotine products?

This is significant in two ways.
First - if you already have an insurance policy you simply need to advise the insurance company and they will adjust your policy and provide you with the non smoker premium. Some, but not all companies will require that you have a paramedical to prove you are smoke free.   This applies to term insurance as well as universal life and whole life policies.  This will save you 40% to 50% on insurance premiums for as long as your policy stays in force.   Once you have qualified as a non smoker you will remain a non smoker even if you begin to smoke again.
IF you are in this situation we would be happy to help you secure your non smoker discount.  You do not have cancel your existing insurance or make any changes to your policy.   We want to help you lock in that non smoker status so you can save a lot of money in the future.   I really enjoy doing this for people.
Second - When applying for a new life insurance policy the requirement is you have to quit smoking for 12 months to qualify as a non smoker.  If you have already quit smoking, but do not yet qualify as a non smoker, you can apply for a refund of any extra premiums you paid while you are qualifying as a non smoker.  Not all companies offer this but many do.  Some companies will even go back three years and refund premiums back to the day you purchased your insurance, which means that as long as you quit in the first two years you can still get a full refund of the difference between non smoker and smoker premiums for the full three years.
We deal with most of the life insurance companies.   If your are an "orphan" (can't find your agent) you have the option of selecting a new agent to service your policy.   Nothing about your policy has to change.  You would simply be asking the insurance company to except correspondence and change requests from us.   So if you have lost touch with your agent get in touch with us.  We would be happy to help in any way we can.
